On the Road Again!

Dollywood - The land of enchantment, the land of Southern Hospitality….and the land of rides that don’t seem to be, how do I say this politely, safe.  It is great though, I’d even say life changing.

Dollywood is the land of firsts for me.

Dollywood was the first place that I thought that I might very nearly fly out of my seat in a ride.

Dollywood was the first place that I tried funnel cake.

and

Dollywood was the first place that I went on a roller coaster that left me feeling like I woke up in my Las Vegas hotel room, toothless, wondering what had happened the night before (not that I know that feeling).

Here are a few photos of Eileen and my adventures.

We look so content, so naive, not knowing what was waiting for us on THE RIVER BATTLE ride (ages 4 and up).

 

In this photo I am contemplating how much force is needed to push Eileen back into the water.

Eileen bribed me with funnel cake, and it worked.  I didn’t leave her at Dollywood after all.
